Bird Watching

Magdalena Bay which is home to the largest mangrove forest in Baja with the red mangrove, sweet mangrove, white mangrove, prieto or button mangrove and black mangrove, which creates an incredibly diverse and unique ecosystem housing many species of fish, as well as 80 species of birds such as the osprey, diving duck, frigates, seagulls, several types of herons such as the white ibis, the egret and the blue heron and also many migratory species such as the peregrine falcon, the white pelican and many beach species such as the Alexandrine plover, grosbeak, plain sandpiper, rock thrush, red-backed and striped-headed curlew.​
